Our concept is unique, conceived from the pure desire to better the Professional Nail Industry. In this spirit of bipartisanship, our goal is to unite manufacturers & distributors in the nail industry to all work towards this one goal, bettering the industry & promoting professionalism.
We believe the way to start this is by providing quality competitions that provide technicians from around the world to compete with other technicians of similar skill with the ultimate goal of learning & networking with other professionals, whether you take home a trophy or not.
Never before done, we are giving every competitor a plaque, simply in recognition of their participation. But there are many other things that will assure The Nailympics is like no other competition you've seen! We want to inspire & excite you about the business again - to fall back in love with the nail industry!
We are offering technicians rewards for competing, such as free admission to the host show for the technician and model and we have more in store!
The Nailympics is a very large event, run 100% by volunteers committed to creating a global platform for competition. Every year we have seen growth in the attendance & with a strong desire to accommodate future growth, 2005 will see changes in our judging procedure, not the judging criteria. We believe this will help to lessen the logistical nightmare that is created when you have 75+ competitors in the same competition.
As with the real life global competitions, we believe the competition arena is a place to showcase years of study & focus on training in your specific "event". Competitions are a learning experience, but when you actually compete, you are showing what you have learned and should learn from the experience itself.
We are a non-profit organization, working for you, the Professional Nail Technician. No one gains monetarily from this event, which helps to keep everyone on a level playing field. Also, because we are ALL volunteers, we tend to have the best people helping us, those that truly have the interest of our industry at heart, no other agendas.
