We have devised a system of divisions for competing. Which division you enter is important, but due to the large attendance and international participation, it is impossible for us to verify that every competitor enters the correct division. This is done on the honor system, we trust you. Chances are, if you enter a division lower than you are supposed to be in, another competitor will know & complain. Any competitor entering under the wrong division will have an automatic point deduction and possible disqualification.
New for 2006, we have modified the divisions and now have the "Masters Division" as Division 3. What would have previously been Div 2 & 3 are now Div 2. Div. 2 has always been the least attended Division and with the addition of the Masters, most old Division 3 technicians now fit into Division 2.

You must enter the highest division you qualify for, no matter how many competitions you are entering or whether you are entering a category that is new for you. The divisions are as follows;
Division 1 - "NOVICE"
Students & Professional Nail Technicians that
have never participated in any type or category of nail competition
anywhere in the world.
Division 2 - "APPRENTICE"
Students
& Professional Nail Technicians that have competed, but do not yet meet the
qualifications for Div 3.
Division 3 -"MASTER"
Professional
Nail Technicians that fall into any one of the following:
1 - Have
won a minimum of 5 competitions of any type in their career;
2 - Are
ranked by any trade publication as a Top Competitor,
3 - Have
won a world title;
4 - Owns,
in whole or part, a manufacturing company or any company selling to the
professional industry anywhere in the world;
5 - Is
employed full time by a manufacturing company;
6 - Is
involved in creating nail styles for photo shoots for any manufacturer or in
charge of product development. If there is any question if you fall into this
category, get clarification!
Entry fees are lowest for Division 1, getting progressively higher to Division 3, then Masters. Please see the registration form for complete details on fees by clicking on "Competition Rules/Registration" in the toolbar above.
